I played this with my 8 year old son and we both really enjoyed the game. It was enough to get him away from screens with no argument, and he's asked to play it several times since! The instructions are really easy to follow, so we could pick up gameplay pretty quickly. Make sure that you've shuffled well because in our first game play I hadn't and it meant that all the pictures were bunched together. The aim of the game is to alternate between linking a picture to a worded category card until you run out of cards in your hand. There are almost endless possibilities with how you can link those cards, and it lead to some heated debates as we tried to justify our matches! I also liked how you don't need to take turns- if there's a card in your hand that you think works, you can put it down, even if you've just placed the last card. This game is going to become a staple in our house, and I know well be taking it on holidays to play as a family.

Love this game! Got my 4 year old thinking about descriptive words and categories of items. Ideal for kids who can read independently but younger kids can certainly help out - but it's good fun for adults too.

Fun game, quality of the cards is good.

My daughter, niece and wife all enjoy playing this game together. Its a lot of fun and keeps everyone engaged, especially when we want a break from screen time. The game is easy to get into, keeps the family involved, and makes for a great time-pass activity. Weve had a lot of fun playing it together. Definitely good value for money and a game I would recommend for family game time.

Weve had such a great time playing the Skillmatics Crossover Card Game! Its one of those games that is incredibly easy to pick up, but still keeps everyone thinking and engaged. The fast-paced gameplay makes every round exciting, and you never really know what answers or connections other players are going to come up with. I especially like that it works well for different ages. Kids, teenagers, and adults can all join in without the game feeling too complicated or too easy. Its also a great option when you have a group of friends or family together, as you can play with up to eight people. The rounds move quickly, which is perfect for keeping everyone interested, and its easy to play multiple rounds without getting bored. Weve brought it out for family game nights and gatherings, and it has quickly become a favourite. The cards are well designed, the concept is clever, and theres a nice balance between quick thinking, creativity, and a little friendly competition. It would also make a great gift for children, teens, or families.

Really enjoyed this game. What I like most is that its just a simple, fun game without lots of complicated rules or a huge amount of setup. You can get started quickly and everyone can join in straight away. The idea of matching the picture and category cards is easy to understand, but it gets surprisingly competitive once everyone is trying to spot connections and get rid of their cards first. Because everyone plays at the same time, theres very little sitting around waiting for your turn. The rounds are nice and quick too, which makes it easy to play a few games without it becoming a big commitment. The 200 cards give you plenty of different combinations, so it doesn't feel repetitive. Overall, this is exactly the sort of game I enjoy having around. It's straightforward, fast-paced and, most importantly, just good fun. A great option for family or friends when you want something entertaining without having to spend ages learning the rules.

The rules take only a minute to explain, making it very easy to get a round started with players of mixed ages. Gameplay is energetic and keeps everyone focused, as looking for matching connections and chain reactions creates a fun, chaotic scramble to clear your hand. The cards are sturdy with clear illustrations, and the compact box is ideal for packing on holiday or bringing out for quick game nights.

The cards are great quality, a decent size and made well. The words are easy to read too. The colours arent too bright on the cards so can see them clearly. Played with my 9 year old who understood it straight away and could read the cards easily. It wasnt too difficult to play once we realised you need to put the picture and word cards together. Its a quick game can play and could be played with 2 people or a couple too as lots of cards in pack. The instructions are ok. Its a fun game thats easy to play and pop in a bag too.

It reminds me of the game Uno a bit and I like playing that a lot. I'm sure my grandsons are going to enjoy playing this when we get the chance. The cards are good quality and the colours used are attractive. I've only tried it with one other player and think it will be better with more players. Uno is better with more than two players too so that didn't surprise me. I think it's suitable for most ages, probably five and over but, as with most things, that depends on the child. I really like this game and recommend it.

We like to have a family games night every Sunday with our three kids, so Im always looking out for quick and easy games that can be played by a range of ages. Our kids are 4,12 and 16, so even though our youngest is under the age range, he did help me put down picture cards, so the only limitation is being able to read. We spoken out the text cards and he held my pictures and he understood what to do. Eg the card said something youd take on holiday and he had a picture of a suitcase and he put it down quickly. This game is quick to both learn and play. Great for a quick few rounds at home, or also good for holidays etc. 2-5 players, recommends ages 8+, but as I said, we involved our four year old, so great for families. Definitely been added to one of our regular favourite games.

This review is for the item described as Skillmatics Card Game Crossover, Fast-Paced Connection Game for All Ages. We played this game having first played another new game with lots of rules and instructions, so this one came as enjoyable, light relief. Three of us, all adults, really enjoyed it as it was so straightforward and easy to play without having to pore over complicated instructions. We developed our own variation quite naturally when poor shuffling led to us all being stuck, and we started adding extra cards from the centre pile to our own hands until we found one we could play. This is not how the game is supposed to be played but it worked for us and was a good-fun variation to the standard rules. The cards are nicely printed with bright and sometimes amusing illustrations. The game descended into quite a lot of silliness and gave us a laugh. We all agreed this was a fun and simple game to take with us on holiday to play after a few drinks might have dulled our ability to play anything more challenging. It would be a fantastic game to play with reading-age kids to develop their language skills. The hardest thing about it is shuffling the massive deck of 200 cards.

This is a fast paced family card game for 2-8 players aged 7+, where players race to connect picture cards with category cards. Things I liked: - very easy to learn and play - encourages quick thinking and fast reactions - fast paced and fun with everyone playing at the same time - compact and portable - making it ideal for holidays and travel - suitable for different ages and group sizes - many different card combinations make it fun to play again Drawbacks: - more enjoyable with more than 2 players - cards and packaging feel a little flimsy - a sturdier box would have been better Overall, this is a great game for family gatherings, and we really enjoyed playing it together. It is a really quick, silly and competitive game with plenty of laughs along the way. I would recommend it for families looking for an easy to learn game that everyone can join in with.

This card game has quickly become the ultimate highlight of our weekly family game nights! We have players ranging from 8 years old to adults, and it is incredibly rare to find a game that genuinely keeps every single age group completely engaged and laughing. Skillmatics Crossover does exactly that. The concept is beautifully simple but brilliantly challenging. It forces you to think fast and make quick connections, which leads to hilarious, frantic energy as everyone scrambles to shout out answers. Because the rounds are so fast-paced, there is absolutely zero downtime, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats the entire time.It is also the perfect size to throw into a bag for travel, picnics, or party nights. If you are looking for a gift that will actually get used or want to upgrade your next game night, I cannot recommend this enough. It is an absolute five-star addition to our collection!

This is an impartial and objective Vine review of the Skillmatics Card Game. This card game consists of 200 cards (half of which have a category and the other half have a picture) and can be played by 2 - 8 players aged 7ish and upwards (or once they can read well enough and fast). Game play is very straightforward with very few rules. There are no 'turns', everyone plays what they have when they can. A category card cannot be placed on a category card, a picture card cannot be played in a picture card. That's basically it. I played this with my teen grandson a few times and after the first game, which was less than thrilling, we both said we though it was a bit boring but decided to keep playing. The second game was better and by the third game we were really enjoying it. I think it took us one game to get our eyes and brains in tune, as it were, with the cards. After that we started playing faster and it soon started getting chaotic, silly and fun. I think it would be even more fun with more players because more players equals more chaos. If you're a family that likes games this is worth trying.

This is a good laugh for a family game or a warm up game for a group game night. It involves quick thinking, occasionally crazy connections, and lots of shouting over each other trying to be first. It's chaotic in the best way and works really well as a proper family or party game but not so well as a 2 player. It's marked as 2-8 player, but with just two players, as is our usual amount here. it's not as strong. The main draw of this is watching everyone scramble to get their connection down first, and with only two of you, that energy just isn't there it starts to feel a bit flat and can occasionally have a bit of a check mate situation when you've got no suitable cards in your hand. The cards are a decent quality and clearly printed, look after them and this'll be on your shelf for generations to come. Overall it's brilliant with a group (four or more is the sweet spot), great fun for a family game, but if it's just you and one other person, don't expect the same buzz, definitely the more the merrier with this one.

This card game comes in a small branded box, which isnt particularly sturdy and I imagine would get torn and tatty over time. It is designed to be played by 2 to 8 players, ages seven years and over, which makes it ideal for family game night and multigenerational play. The pack contains 200 coated cards (100 picture cards and 100 category cards) and an instruction leaflet. It is simple to learn and fun to play in a group. I like you dont play in turn and everyone goes at the same time, you have to be fast and think quickly, which makes it a bit of a free for all and adds to the excitement and competitive game play. There are no hard and fast rules, but rather acceptable connections are policed by all the players, so if someone makes a connection that the majority do not agree with, then that play doesnt count. I would say that it is best played with at least three or four players and because there are such a variety of cards it means that it doesnt get boring and can be played time and time again. It is reasonably priced for the quality and playability.

I took Skillmatics Crossover for a family game night and it quickly became a favourite. I really liked how fast paced and easy to understand it was, so we could get started without spending ages reading complicated instructions. The idea of making connections kept everyone involved and made the game feel lively and competitive. I found it worked particularly well with a mixed group because everyone could join in regardless of age. The rounds moved along quickly, which kept us interested and meant there was very little waiting around between turns. I also liked that the game encouraged everyone to think creatively and react quickly, leading to plenty of laughs along the way. Overall, I am really pleased with Crossover and think it is a great choice for family gatherings, parties or a casual evening with friends. It is compact, simple to play and genuinely entertaining. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun card game that can get a group involved.

There are card games that work with fixed rules and those that have allow for some imagination. 'Crossover' is a game of the latter. You have to get rid of the twenty cards you are dealt, but these are not number and face cards, but pictures and instructions. The idea is to try and find a link between the cards in your hand and the top facing card. This may be something you can eat, or a language question. There is a nice mix of concepts that gets the brain ticking over and it is very family friendly. The pack is well made, colourful and the cards will last. The images are fun and the concept works very well. If you are playing with smaller children you may need to get them to clarify some of their matches as they will try and push what is reasonable. If you get a good group of like minded players, it become fast paced, frantic and fun.

This is one of those great family games that is really easy to learn and is great for taking along to family meetups or to the pub/restaurant. It took my two children (ages 10 and 12) about 2 minutes to understand how to play - it's a bit like a cross between Dobble and a tame Cards Against Humanity. We played a good couple of games and the kids have already added it to our "travel games bag" where only the most entertaining card games get to go. Current price at less than 10 is good value and the cards are colourful, clear and easy to read. It get quite competitive / enthusiastic so I'm glad the cards are well made and it should last for a long time. Easily recommended as a quality, simply family-friendly card game.

This card game was fun and I really love the concept behind it. We've only played with 2 of us so far, and although it's advertised as being for 2+ players, in practice it feels much better suited to a bigger group. With just the 2 of us we kept getting stuck and unable to go, so we ended up adapting a few of our own rules just to keep the game moving. That said, I'm excited to try it properly with the wider family, I can already see it working so much better with more people involved, and I think it'll make a brilliant Christmas game once everyone's together. It seems like the kind of game that thrives on more players joining in, more options, more unpredictability, and probably a lot more laughs along the way. It also seems good for kids - simple enough to pick up quickly without being too babyish, so it should work well across different ages when we do get everyone playing together. Looking forward to giving it a proper go over the festive period with a full group, I think that's when this game will really come into its own.

The whole family have been enjoying this game. It's simple enough for children and adults to learn. It's quick to get the hang of the rules to get playing. The game play is fast and frantic. You are head to head against the other players to play your cards by making connections such as 'something with a handle'. You have to think fast and it gets manic. We have played a lot, no sign of getting bored yet! It's fun, fast and interactive. The actual cards and box are good quality. It's small enough to take travelling too.

L
Libbit

The cards are about the same size as standard playing cards and the quality is good. They come in a nice cardboard box that is well designed and looks interesting. Inside are picture cards and category cards, all are clearly printed, and there is a nice clear instruction sheet. What I like best about this game is that it is original and very simple to play. This is important when playing with children as they just want to get on with the game not having to learn loads of rules. Although the game could be played by 2 people it is more fun with 3 or 4 people as you all play at once. I agree that the game will be suitable for age 7+ and Im looking forward to playing with my grandchildren. The quality is good and at the time of review it is just under 10 which is a good price for this card game.

This is a really fun game. It is super simple to learn to play and doesnt take hours of instruction reading. It consists of two sets of cards, pictures and words. The idea is you need to be fastest to get rid of all your cards. It is quite a fast paced game which is part of the fun. You could slow it down a little if you needed. Instructions are included. The game is small and easily portable for holidays etc. We loved it. Its suitable for even younger children. It helps develop both logical and lateral thinking, and of course reading skills and picture recognition. This game is good value. It doesnt take a long time to complete and you only need a couple of players. Its more fun with more though!

A

Very simple, quick and fun to play. It says 7+ but the only real limitation is the ability to read. It is basically a race to get rid of all your cards using word/picture association - so if someone plays is green you could play a cactus picture, then found outside then football picture etc. Can cause small arguments with dodgy connections but all part of the fun of the game! Easy to transport as its just one box; instructions barely need reading and if you lose a couple of cards its not the end of the world.
