How to solve the floor puzzle?

Start with the edge pieces to build the frame, then work inward by matching colours and patterns. With Piece & Play's jumbo pieces, kids can usually spot where a piece belongs just by looking at the picture on the box.

Why are puzzles good for kids?

Puzzles quietly build problem-solving skills, spatial awareness, memory, and fine motor skills, all while feeling like pure play. Every piece that doesn't fit on the first try teaches patience and a little lesson in trying a different angle.

What puzzles can 4 year olds do?

Most 4-year-olds are ready for 24 to 48 piece floor puzzles with large, chunky pieces and recognizable images like animals or familiar characters.

How to teach a child to do jigsaw puzzles?

Begin with a small number of large pieces and sit alongside your child for the first few tries. Encourage them to find the edges first and talk through colours and shapes out loud. Confidence builds fast once they realise they can do it on their own.

What age can kids do jigsaw puzzles?

Children can typically start with simple jumbo-piece floor puzzles from around age 3, progressing to more detailed scenes with smaller pieces as they approach age 7 and beyond.
